We start our trip, with only 30 minutes from Guayaquil, to find one of the rarest birds:

Then we descend a little further to the South, Santa Rosa. This is a good area to see some:
We climb next to 1000 meters. We are in the reserve Buenaventura from the founding «Jocotoco». Here we will be surprised with one of the most impressive dances of birds like the Long-Wattle Umbrella-Bird, also we have the opportunity to observe the endemic-bellied Emerald Woodnimph, El Oro Tapaculo , El Oro Parakeet, observe also other specialties such as:
We descend to the Tumbes area to visit two very interesting spots such as Utuana Jorupe where we see many of the Tumbes endemic area:
We end our trip in the west and cross the ridge to go to the area of Zamora. Here we will have the opportunity to observe several endemic species such as the beautiful and rare Jocotoco Antpitta, hummingbirds such as: Amethyst-throated Sunangel, Little Sunangel, Neblina Metaltail, Glowing Puffleg,etc.
From here we descend to the eastern slopes where we will find a large number of species such as:
We will observe many species such as Flycatchers, Puffbirds, Antpittas, Tapaculosand and others. After visiting the lower slopes we will go to the Andes East to the town of Basin which is one of the most beautiful for its architecture. In this part of the trip we will observe two endemics such as the hummingbird Purple-throated Metaltail, and Pale-headed Brush-Finch as well as other specialties: Red-faced Parrot, Ecuadorian Rail, Saffron Siskin, and others.
